Summary of Experience:
Received status update explaining that they are finished reviewing my application and can not offer me an interview at this time. I assume this is the \"on hold\" status? In any case, it would be great if they wanted to interview me, but I\'m not going to sweat it.
Summary of Experience:
I really thought I was a great fit here, since I have a lot of experience abroad/ in different cultures and strong public health interests/research experience. I guess there\'s just no explaining this crazy process.
Summary of Experience:
I really, really loved the area that Dartmouth is in and think I would be really happy living there. That\'s why I was disappointed I didn\'t like the school more! Everyone was really nice... but for some reason, it just didn\'t feel right. This is the benefit for the student of doing interviews in person - we get to have a feel for the school. Hopefully someone else at my interview day will have a better shot now!
Summary of Experience:
Love the small town, the proximity to mountain hiking, the low cost of living, and the students seemed cool. Not sure about the lack of pass/fail and a comment by one of the students about the curriculum not being particularly focused on USMLEs. Ultimately, once it got to be into April, I had to start making decisions and cutting off possibilities, so I withdrew.
Summary of Experience:
Even though UIC gives great clinical experience, I feel that other schools I have been accepted to have significantly more resources to offer, with less risk of a dramatic price increase. Although the tuition increase for this year was reversed (I think), I still believe that the money will be gained back in other ways, and that worries me. Additionally, even without additional tuition, the cost savings are not very great. As much as I wanted to return to my home state for medical school, I just don\'t think this is the right educational move for me.
