So far it has been a positive yet stressful ordeal. My advice is to aim high and apply to schools that you want to go independent of your stats. I have received interviews (waiting to hear about acceptances) from schools that I thought were out of my league. But at the same time, my so-called backup schools have been showing me no love. Also do not put to much weight on what your pre-med advisor and other people say. Its your life and your dream. So make it what you will. I mean my pre-med advisor pretty much said I would be lucky to get into some schools and well thus far luck has had nothing to do with the process. Plus just be yourself. Don't worry about the quote unquote 'things and experiences you need to get into medical school'. Do things that you are interested in.
