Didn\'t receive a secondary/interview invite, but Vanderbilt was definitely a reach for me... So I\'m not really upset about it. Hopefully the best is yet to come...
Summary of Experience:
Received the dreaded rejection email not too long ago... But I\'m not too bummed since I\'ve received interviews to my top two schools.
Summary of Experience:
So I received my first rejection (post-interview) which I\'m pretty bummed about only because I really liked this school. I take it to mean that there is only greater waiting for me elsewhere...
...My interview went great! I really enjoyed talking to the student interviewer that I had; he gave me a ton of information. The facilities were great and the school seems to have a lot of resources. I especially like the option of the two different curriculum styles. My faculty interview went good as well--rather succinct but that could just be my own perception... Hopefully they think as fondly of me as I do of them!! :)
Summary of Experience:
First interview scheduled for Oct 26th!!! I\'m so excited...
I thoroughly enjoyed my interview at MCG. The staff were all very warm and friendly as well as the students. The facilities were nice and I was especially excited to see the state of the art children\'s hospital there in Augusta. However, I wonder about the camaraderie of the student body there because the student tour guides were relatively informative but didn\'t seem especially excited about the school... Overall I enjoyed the experience...
Summary of Experience:
I really enjoyed my interview at UofL. The faculty were very helpful and supportive and the student that I met was so sweet.. The facilities were nice but mostly I feel that I gained a good sense of the camaraderie amongst students and the support that they receive from the faculty. Hopefully I\'ll get in!!
Summary of Experience:
New Orleans here I come!!! Tulane has such a great program and I love the emphasis and resources dedicated to community medicine. The school is located in such a unique and diverse region of the country as well so I\'m geeked to start here in the fall!!!
Tulane was great! It helped that it was in the upper 70s the entire time that I was there and I was able to get out and see New Orleans a bit...
I was a little surprised by the age of some of the buildings, but the school has a good reputation for a reason. I enjoyed talking with the students there and my faculty interviews were laid back and conversational. I would love to study here so hopefully I\'ll get in...
My interview[er] was pretty intense--surprisingly! However, once I quickly regained my bearings I felt that I had a very engaging conversation with my interviewer about a lot of things and he gave me very positive and encouraging feedback at the end. The students were great, definitely the school\'s greatest asset! Very communal and supportive; and the improvements that the school is making to its facilities are encouraging... Overall a great interview experience!
Summary of Experience:
11/28/11: Just received my first acceptance from Morehouse!! I\'m excited to be a member of the class of 2016 and to know that I\'M GOING TO BE A DOCTOR!!!
10/2011: I interviewed at Morehouse the first week of October and really enjoyed my interview. I was uber nervous since this was the first one that I attended but all of the students and staff encouraged us to relax and enjoy the day... My first faculty interview was relatively relaxed and conversational. The second faculty interview was a bit more intense though I felt that I answered the questions well... It was good to hear from the students and some of the faculty about the level of preparation that the coursework provides the students for the board exams. Everyone emphasized the family environment of the school which was evident.
