I kinda figured this was coming
Summary of Experience:
I waited a really long time for an invite from BU so I was quite reluctant to give it up. Ultimately, I did not see myself in Boston considering my other acceptances. Giving it up was the right thing to do.
Summary of Experience:
I was really happy to get an invite from Tufts. However, after receiving other acceptances I did not see myself in Boston. Yikes at the tuition!
Summary of Experience:
Getting an interview invite was epic. Interview day was short and sweet. Played the whole waitlist game, although it ain\'t over \'til it\'s over, it just doesn\'t look like P&S is in the cards for me.
Summary of Experience:
Gorgeous facilities! New school with new curriculum sounds exciting, but maybe a bit too experimental for my tastes. Update: Hofstra breaks it\'s half a year of silence! Alternate listed (not preferred), withdrew, moving on.
Summary of Experience:
Great school, they really seem to like non-trads. The snow is a drag though. Not sure how I feel about them not recording lectures. UPDATE: put on WL, but will withdraw. As great of a school as Rochester is, it\'s not the right fit for me, not worth sticking around to see where it goes.
Summary of Experience:
Late interview invite (my last of the season) for the last week of interviews. Enjoyed my day at NYU. Waitlisted as expected. Getting off the waitlist highly unlikely... UPDATE: ...but not impossible, got off 2 weeks before start of orientation, will matriculate here
Summary of Experience:
First acceptance, woo-hoo! Loved this school. Absolutely amazing that you get your decision the day after you interview. UPDATE: after hanging on for a long time it was time to face the music and withdraw. Sad since I did truly like Buffalo, but I\'m sure this will turn into good news for someone else.
Summary of Experience:
So I waited forever to interview here (February) after being invited way back in October. I felt that the students at AECOM were perhaps the friendliest that I\'ve met. Two of them spontaneously introduced themselves and talked to me when I was really early and just waiting around to interview. The facilities at AECOM are really impressive and the housing is a deal unsurpassed at any of the NYC schools. I don\'t like that AECOM is far enough from the subway that you need to take a bus. I\'m from another outer borough, so I\'m not a prude about the MTA, just not thrilled with that esp. coupled with the fact that tolls on the Whitestone Bridge total to $13 round trip. Food was fine, but the chocolate cake was disappointing!! UPDATE: Accepted! Kind of surprising since I interviewed there so late, and thought the interview was not my best. UPDATE 2: after 2 weeks of debating, I decided to decline this acceptance. Tough choice due to P/F curriculum and great clinical sites, but the fit was just not right.
Summary of Experience:
Wow, I was way more impressed with Stony Brook than I expected to be. They\'ve definitely shaken up my list. The students were great and I love that they only have 4 students per cadaver!! Though they are known for tough ethics interviews both of mine were easy-peasy. I felt like they were making their case more than I was making mine. Update: Accepted! Woot woot! - it came down to the wire, but ultimately withdrew due to location, city >>>> suburbs
Summary of Experience:
Didn\'t feel any better or worse about Drexel after interviewing. The split curriculum is interesting. Everyone was super nice. Don\'t really like how huge their class is, esp. with the added students from the SMP during first year. UPDATE: was really happy to get the acceptance at Drexel, ultimately could not see myself at Drexel so i withdrew
Summary of Experience:
Dig their commitment to service and helping underserved populations. Not thrilled that G\'town happens to be in a pocket of DC that is poorly serviced by public transit and where traffic is horrendous. UPDATE: Accepted! Definitely a surprise since they CAP so many applicants. Was sure I\'d be WL\'ed I never even sent a LOI. Ultimately decided to decline my acceptance at G\'town. DC is not the city for me. It was tough to give up a sweet acceptance, but the right thing to do.
