Summary of Application Experience
I applied late in the application cycle (late October). Was interviewed at John Burns (Hawaii) but they have this weird residency requirement where your parents have to live there, you have to be born there, or go to highschool there, and be a legal residnet-you must meet 3/5 of these criteria-they rank their top applicants by a point system and the residency points are included- I think I was that close. Applying again this year, this time as a MI resident and early (in June)-applying to both MD and DO (11 total) as well as several masters programs. If accepted to masters and no where else, I'll take the MCAT again in April and use that score for reapplying while completing masters.
