Summary of Experience:
Did not have the energy to complete any more secondary essays. Considering, Stanford\'s perceived focus on research and competitive application process I probably would not have had much of a chance anyway.
Summary of Experience:
Emailed update letter: 3/2/11; This program was extremely intriguing to me since it is so fully focused on providing for underserved communities in Los Angeles and beyond.
Summary of Experience:
Sent an update letter by email on 1/5/11 and their office did confirm receipt of this email. Didn\'t hear anything else from them until rejection 3 mo later.
Summary of Experience:
Certainly a reach school for me. Many who matriculate into Brown\'s incoming class do so by a joint BS/MD program. So the number of seats available to those applying in a traditional manner is more limited. If I were to start the process over I would not apply here.
Summary of Experience:
Don\'t accept any updates pre-interview. I would suggest turning in this secondary early so that your application is not lost in RFU\'s relatively complicated screening process.
Summary of Experience:
DMU has a wonderful reputation. Many support this school and appreciate the unique things it has to offer. I debated whether or not to attend DMU\'s interview, once I was accepted to CCOM. After researching both schools I had a gut feeling that the preclinical curriculum at DMU is better than at CCOM, but the clinical education is better at CCOM and this was more important to me. Furthermore, I was looking for an urban environment like Chicago. Withdrew prior to interview.
Summary of Experience:
On Hold for Re-review until 1/15 when offered an interview. I sent an update letter on 1/3/11 and this likely helped me get an interview.
Summary of Experience:
Interesting post-interview committee decisions process - After interview, the admission\'s committee decides on a score to associate with your application that cannot then be changed. This score determines if you are accepted, placed under consideration, or rejected. As the application process concludes and class availability is understood the score threshold for acceptance falls and those under consideration with corresponding scores are accepted.
Summary of Experience:
Submitted MD/MPH Application: 12/15/10; Submitted update 1/10/11
I had a great interview experience at Tufts. They do a great job of selling the school. Presentations were very informative and made excellent points about the attractions of a Tufts medical education. I had two 1 on 1 interviews, one of which I thought went very well and another which went okay at best. I feel my first interviewer appreciated my work experience with children more than any other interviewer I have spoken with, and my experiences in that employment may be what got me in.
Summary of Experience:
Great clinical affiliations located throughout Chicago. Midwestern U is situated in a beautiful suburb area West of Chicago named Downer\'s Grove. The reputation and quality of clinical opportunities in a great urban city like Chicago made CCOM my top choice among osteopathic medical schools. To me, the only other comparable osteopathic medical school is PCOM in Philadelphia.
Withdrew once accepted to Tufts University in March.
