Summary of Application Experience
Got held up on my personal statement and submitted a little later than I would have liked...June 16th instead of the 1st.
Spent the past 2 months working on secondaries and maxing out credit cards to pay for the fees, and now I sorta wish I hadn\'t applied to quite as many schools. Plus, I saved all the longest essays for last, ooh goodie :)
9/30/10 Starting to interview now! So far I\'ve been really pleased with the schools I\'ve been to (Loyola and U of Michigan). I\'m probably not going to end up finishing my last 2 secondaries, I think the money would be better spent on plane tickets from here on out.
2/13/11 No more interviews as of now, so it\'s time to sit back and wait for responses (and work on financial aid stuff).
Summary of Experience:
I think the admissions office may be stalking my mdaps profile...or reading my mind...because I was literally just about to call them to let them know when I\'d be in Chicago for my Northwestern interview. Creepy :/
Summary of Experience:
Got an interview before submitting my secondary :)
Wonderful school, I applied on somewhat of a whim and have really fallen in love with Ann Arbor and the medical school. All the staff I met with were super friendly and helpful, and it really seems like a place that wants to turn you into the best doctor you can be.
Waitlisted on 10/15 :( And I was soooo excited for this one...
2/26/11 - Put in the Lower Tier, so basically I have no chance. Which is what I assumed since I was first put on the waitlist in the first place.
My first UC interview! Loved the school and the campus, plus the PRIME-LC program seems pretty cool as well. The interview day was not scheduled very carefully though...
Summary of Experience:
7/7/2011 - Withdrew. SUCH a hard choice, maybe if they had gotten back to me a few months earlier and/or had shaved off $20k or so my choice would have been different, but oh well, such is life.
12/16/2010 - Put on Hold. Better than a rejection I guess!
05/12/2011 - Waitlisted at #84. I really really really hope there\'s a lot of movement!
I was happily surprised with this school, I especially liked its deep commitment to service. All the students seemed very relaxed and happy, and it\\\'s only about 15 min from downtown Chicago.
