I\'m looking at 4 waitlists at the moment (WVU, Albany, Vermont, and UCSD). I finally got one interview invite from a California school, my alma mater UCSD, but am waitlisted. I would give anything to be accepted and stay close to my family...
Nevertheless, I am still hoping to hear good news from Albany and Vermont so that I can have some options as to where I would like to spend the next four years of my life. I\'m not big on WVU but it would be nice to hear good news soon.
All the waiting is terrible. It\'s such a torturous process and I would really like it to be over as soon as possible because it\'s really taxing on my well-being. :(

As of now, I have attended 3 interviews (Penn State, WVU, and UVM) and cancelled one due to my TA and class schedule. I was not happy at all to click that \"cancel\" option just because I\'ve worked so hard to even get a chance at interviewing and I had to let it go just like that. It took years of hard work and it slipped away within seconds of clicking that button. It just seems so unfair. :(
I\'m also extremely disappointed that the California schools are turning their backs on me. It\'s so frustrating!!! Still, I have been feeling somewhat better because of the Penn State acceptance, especially since I really love the school. I\'m still waiting on UVM\'s decision and will be interviewing at 2 NY schools (NYMC and Albany) during spring break so I hope to get more options before I finally decide. I guess it\'s only East Coast love for me. =/

I had a loooong, dry spell that took a toll on my pride and emotional well-being. Waiting and receiving nothing but rejections for the past several months really made me feel depressed and unmotivated. Thank goodness for the first great news of this cycle. I received an interview invite from Penn State!! :) I\'m soo happy. Also nervous and feeling the pressure to do really well on this one because I may not get many invites by the end of the cycle. First I have to finish these finals and then full on prepare for this interview. I\'m so thankful for this opportunity. :D

Just finished UCSD\'s secondary. I only have 4 left to work on and I\'m done. UCSF and University of Nevada never sent me theirs. And I got my first rejection of the cycle from Boston University. My self-esteem is really taking a hit. I\'m sure I\'ll have to man-up though. They\'ll be plenty more bad news to come. :(

School\'s back in session. Great. That means even less time to work on the apps. I really need to finish UCSD and UC Davis since they\'re due within a week or so. :(

Tired and desperately trying to finish these before fall quarter starts. -_- Also added 2 new schools to the list. Don\'t know if it will be worth it since it\'s kind of late in the game. :(

Over the course of 3 days, I have received more than 15 secondaries. >_< Omgosh, so overwhelmed.

I\'m finally verified by AMCAS!!! And Rosalind Franklin, University of Missouri, Medical College of Wisconsin, UC Davis, and University of Rochester have sent me their supplementals so I better get on top of things!

Honestly, I\'m hoping I get some interviews even though I\'m sending in my application materials much later than everyone else. Especially those in the SDN forum.

I\'m applying very broadly (30 schools total) and the majority of them are schools that are OOS-friendly not too far from my own stats. Being a person who likes to play it safe, I know my chances of getting interviews will be greatly increased if I apply to these schools that are \"within my reach\" versus those at the top. As I see it, most MD programs are the same, it\'s the individual who makes the best out of the profession.
While waiting to be verified by AMCAS, which might take 4-6 weeks, I\'m working on the secondaries that Penn State, GW, Boston, and U of Cincinnati automatically sent to me. Also, I hope to work on the secondaries from some of the other schools by going on SDN to look at the prompts. I just dread writing responses to those prompts so much!! XD
