Brief Profile:
I was born and raised in a small town in Montana. After high school I attended Montana State University-Bozeman and received my degree in chemical engineering in 2005. I worked for BP as a process/project engineer following graduation for ~3 years in Blaine, WA. After a change in heart and understanding that engineering wasn\'t for me, I left my job and enrolled in the Montana State University-Bozeman post-bacc program.
Activities included tutoring, volunteering in ER and Cancer centers, working as a file-clerk in a medical office, working as a caregiver, medicine technician, and supervisor at an assisted living facility, bible-study leader, mentoring a chemical engineering group project, men\'s retreat volunteer, engineering ambassador, lab assistant.
Personal statement: Discussed my initial desire for medicine, my need to try engineering first, and the realization of my true fit in medicine after a life-changing encounter with my dermatologist.
