Brief Profile:
the run down: strong research experience. strong volunteer/outreach experience. Average stats compared to most premeds. pretty crappy MCAT imo (very nervous, was considering retaking during the summer while applying, but I got lazy and distracted).

Summary of Application Experience
I applied pretty broadly. I honestly don\'t know which schools are \"within my reach,\" except for a few famous ones that I just assume are out of reach i.e. columbia, stanford, ucsf. Anyways, I view all MD programs as relative equals b/c it\'s a standard education, MD is MD! The way it was explained to me: if you do well at any school, you can be any type of doctor you want, and if you\'re dedicated enough, you\'ll be a great one!
Matriculating at UCI zot zot!
My preference for schools works as follows: 1. location (want CA schools badly, then NYC, then Boston, then...well if no luck with those I\'ll grudgingly take anything, applied mostly to major metropolitan areas for schools outside of CA) 2. student culture (won\'t know until I visit the school for interviews) - need to be chill and enjoying themselves! 3. Curriculum - P/F, flexibility 4. hospitals and breadth of clinical experience provided 5. Unique research opportunities, most schools offer this, but some schools have better resources than others
So far I\'m happy with how interviews have been going. Got interviews for 4 CA schools, which I was extremely pleased about .
Summary of Experience:
First interview, very early (early sept, second day of interviews). They must have liked me on paper b/c they invited me for interview like 2 days after I submitted my secondary. However, that also means that they must have hated me in person...I was SO nervous and blabbered on nonsensically during my interview. Oh well... Davis is kinda boring, and I have more to look forward to...hopefully?
Summary of Experience:
Was sick during this interview, so I didn\'t enjoy my day there that much. I think this is an extremely good school b/c of Bellevue Hospital. Not sure if I can handle NYC with its fast pace and high prices.
Summary of Experience:
First Acceptance! I\'m going to be a doctor! Nice people, nice faculty, nice facilities, Milwaukee is cool ... but COLD!!! It seems like there are a lot of people from CA here, and that are here b/c they didn\'t get into any schools in CA. LOL
