Brief Profile:
Keeping it relatively anonymous for now. I graduated in the spring of 2009 with a double major (Biology & Chemistry) and I took a year off to do research and explore more interests. I participated in a huge variety of different volunteer and clinical activities along with a pretty big focus on music, dance and sports in college. I also did about 4 years of research and completed an honors thesis.

Summary of Application Experience
I applied late to many of my schools and I mean really late (not SDN late) as in at the deadlines for many schools. However, I\'m trying to make up for lost time. We\'ll see how it goes.
I have learned one lesson though this entire process: definitely apply early although I have gotten a bit lucky with getting some interviews and an acceptance to the school that I ultimately wanted to go to in the beginning. The variety and commitment within my ECs, my research, my interviewing, and my MCAT definitely carried me through this process to counteract how late that I applied and my GPA. If you need any advice on applying late or applying with a lower GPA/high MCAT, just send me a message.

OOS so it was gonna be tough.
Summary of Experience:
This was actually my first rejection. Puzzling but I probably was not going anyway. So I guess the adcoms do know what they\'re doing.
Summary of Experience:
I would have loved to interview at one of the NYC schools. At least it would have given me an excuse to meet up with some good friends afterward.
Summary of Experience:
\"Emory throwin\' the rejection hammer down!\" - how Austin Carr (the Cavs color announcer) would say the play-by-play on my rejections.
Summary of Experience:
I really thought I would get an interview at Pitt but I did submit my app pretty late (late Nov). I really wanted to visit the school and see some friends in the area.
Summary of Experience:
I would have loved to check out Chicago. I\'ve heard that they place a great importance on fit so I guess it wasn\'t meant to be.
I completed a virtual interview here and it was a pretty cool experience. While it was very convenient, I feel that I could have been much more personable and comfortable interviewing in person. Anyway, I absolutely love the school. The students here are very cool and I think their curriculum is amazing. It\'s definitely revolutionary and provides so much flexibility while allowing students to accomplish so much in just 4 years. However, I did not want to be in Durham for another 4 years.
Summary of Experience:
Completely amazed by the entire experience. The new facilities are breath taking and I love that the tradition and history of Hopkins still flows through everything. All the students from the greeters and my student host to my interviewer were so nice and I got a great sense of camaraderie from them. Also, I had my best faculty interview experience here by far. I may have a new #1 choice. I just hope I get in...
Summary of Experience:
WL. Probably just going to withdraw.
Very cool and relaxed school with an amazing location in NYC. I also love the subsidized housing. The curriculum is very traditional (which may work better for me) but the students seem to love it especially with P/F. I had pretty good interview experiences so I hope I get in.
Summary of Experience:
A bit disappointed by the waitlist but I had by far the worst interview experience here compared to any of the other schools that I interviewed at. My interviewer typed an email for the first 10 minutes of my interview, constantly answered her phone calls while I was talking, and obviously had barely read or prepared for my interview. I did get a great feel from everyone else though, but I\'ve heard about how Vandy\'s WL does not move so I\'m probably going to move on.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew. This one was tough. It was extremely close to home and a full tuition scholarship. However, just felt a bit more at home at Penn.
I was a bit skeptical of the program at first, but I was completely blown away during my interview day. Almost everything CCLCM does with the curriculum makes sense and I do agree that their approach does mimic a real hospital environment over traditional schools. I also liked the great emphasis on self-learning and reflection. I would love to get the chance to attend here.
Penn gave me very good financial aid. It looks like this is the one.
I GOT IN!!!!! What an unbelievable feeling.
I was blown away by the school, the resources they had, and by how nice all the students seemed. I also really would like to stay on the East Coast, so going here would definitely be a dream. So torn between here, Hopkins and the Clinic. I can only hope that I get the opportunity to choose between the three (or two; or one)!!
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew. Scholarship bumped up to 20k/year but still not enough.
Absolutely loved my experience here and I\'m thrilled to be accepted here. All the students were very down to earth and social, so I feel like I can be a good fit here. I love the true P/F. However, the weather was brutal.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew. No financial aid. No go.
I\'ve always been an OSU sports fan, and since it\'s my state school, I decided to still go for the interview. I was very surprised to find that I really liked the school and facilities here. The students were all very friendly too and the P/F curriculum definitely made everything easier on everyone. I will definitely have a hard decision to make in May.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew. No scholarships and much more money from Penn along with CCLCM.
I really liked the students here and absolutely loved what they did with their curriculum. It has the best balance of science, clinics, and research that I\'ve seen so far. However, the facilities (or at least the school) seemed a little old. Still, overall I was impressed. Now, I just have to apply for scholarships.
