Brief Profile:
So I went to a top twenty school that is known for grade deflation. Add that to a family disaster and the obligations and difficulties it presented and *whala*, you get my gpa in all its wonderfully low glory.
I knew I would have a problem and so set out on a mission to destroy the MCAT ... which I did. I desperately needed that score to prove that my gpa was NOT a level of my intelligence. And this goes for anyone else with a low gpa. IT DOES NOT DEFINE YOU. Adcoms WILL understand any difficulties you faced and their effects on your performance. Just because you get a C in organic does NOT mean you are worthless. Take note neurotic pre-meds with insecurity issues.
As for ECs, just the basics. Lots and lots of traveling and world experiences outside medicine. No \'missions\' here. Just good old exploring.
