My 2 strengths were my personal statement--a school even complimented me on it in an interview invitation email, and the fact that my MCAT score jumped significantly in just 3 months.
16 complete applications, 11 interview invites (2 were declined), 5 acceptances (and I\'m praying for more)... I feel blessed.
Literally every single interview I have been on was laid back…except for Columbia\'s. I was asked thought-provoking questions, but because of that, I enjoyed this particular interview the most. I just put up this page a couple of days ago, and will update it with my stats later. Feel free to make comments/ask questions! =)

-really impressed by the school. lots of resources and opportunities. don\'t like the fact that there\'s no train station near the campus--you have to take a bus to it. i hate waiting for buses. hate.

Didn\'t appreciate the fact that I was told about the tour dates AFTER I scheduled my interview, so I didn\'t see the school at all. It\'s all good, my interviewer was nice. It\'s all the same at this point.

Nice facilities. Really nice interviewer. Most likely not going to this one because 1. It\'s in Syracuse, 2. It\'s in Syracuse, 3. Doesn\'t have good academic support--4 kids were kicked out, and a bunch more were put in the 5 year MD program. Howard did a good thing in advising us to ask schools about the academic support offered, and it\'s nil here. So...no.

My first interview invite and my first acceptance! Loved ATL, loved the hospital, and LOVED our tour guide--he was a book-full of inspirational quotes...mm! I kept putting up my hand like those old ladies in church, lol. Got my Columbia invite during the tour!

Every time I hear about this school, no one seems to be crazy about it. Which made me sort of not excited about it. BUT WHEN I WENT I LOVED IT! I highly underestimated how much I would like it. And I really like the fact that although it\'s suburban and I\'d rather be in a city, I used my Metrocard to get from the Admissions office, all the way home. $2.25. (It took me hours though, haha, but I wanted to experiment).

Reminded me a lot about SUNY Downstate, but only in Newark, and not Brooklyn. I like! I had a professor interview me--he was nervous! It was cute, lol-- and a student interviewer, he was cool, we clicked. The dean personally calls all accepted students, and he\'d been trying to call me for 3 days!! I couldn\'t believe it--that\'s what I get for never checking my voicemail.

My first medical school interview!! Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck. The lady barely let me speak, which was a good thing, because I just stuttered every time I opened my mouth. My favorite SUNY--I\'ve always hated KIlla County Hospital, but for a med student, it\'s the best place to get exposure. Same type of hospital at Morehouse, by the way. Very relieved I have instate tuition options now!
Summary of Experience:
I liked it. I particularly like how cohesive the student body is. Everybody knows everybody. No lie. They gave us an EXTRA supplementary questionnaire, which was basically questions they would ask in the secondary. That was dirty, but I\'ve been doing apps so much, I knew what to write.
