I had planned to submit my primary early, but then I procrastinated my personal statement. So I didn\'t submit until August... and then one of my letter writers took a long time to finish a letter of rec for me... but the application cycle turned out alright. :) It turns out a later amcas submission is not the end of the world, contrary to popular SDN belief. Go slowpokes, go!

Didn\'t want to attend the interview after already having received an acceptance. It was surprising to me that there was no word from them for 4 months, then an invite.

Great progressive curriculum. Fantastic professors. According to a faculty at another school, the entire system will soon shift toward the pattern that URochester has built-- 4 years of combined coursework+clinical medicine-- with a 1-step USMLE. I\'m just not sure I would enjoy living in the Rochester climate.

Accepted to the Alaska WWAMI program. Fantastic school. I\'m not excited about the required post-residency payback for Alaskans; I would prefer to practice somewhere warmer and less-isolated. But the prestige of UW might lure me in-- we\'ll see.

Good program, although a little PBL-heavy. Also, the rural nature didn\'t appeal to me. Good school nonetheless, so we\'ll see what develops.
