Summary of Application Experience
8/21/09 - AMCAS finally verified my application after almost a month. So far, received 3/15 needed secondaries, submitted 1 (Penn State). Really need to get going on the other two I have so far...
9/21/09 - Been swinging between confidence and crazy nerves. However, the U of L invite makes me feel infinitely better. So excited! 14/15 secodaries have been submitted. I\'m dragging my feet with Gtown, probably not going to do it. McGill\'s app I\'m chugging away on. Still playing with the idea of finished my AACOMAS app too.
10/7/09 - Third interview invite yesterday! Very exciting! Especially as it\'s from Drexel, they\'re closely tied to the hospital where I did a lot of my clincal stuff. Eagerly awaiting 10/15 so I can find out if U of L made a decision on my app - an acceptance now would be soooo amazing. Also, I really liked Louisville, very chill. It would be a great fit for me.
10/22/09 - Hoping U of L will make a decision soon. Stats so far are 7 no news, 4 interviews, 3 holds, 1 to finish, and 1 rejection. I really wish some schools would just reject me already so I can stop wondering. I also have to get my McGill app finished by Nov. 15.
11/24/09 - Visited WVU, was impressed. Still waiting to hear from U of L, which basically means I\'m currently waitlisted. Will contact the admissions director soon, as offered, to hopefully help move my application along. Just got another interview invite at Temple, which is exciting. Getting really excited for my Drexel interview next week. Secretely hoping I\'ll here from somewhere by Christmas, or New Year\'s.
12/25/09 - Merry Christmas! Officially accepted! Also a Christmas Eve interview invite from Jefferson, all around pretty sweet.
2/17/2010 - Third acceptance today from Drexel. Everything has gone so well, I\'m definitely pleased with my application experience/performance. Pretty much set on Jefferson, the school has such an awesome reputation, location, and facilities, but nothing is written in stone yet. Probably going to withdraw from WVU and Temple soon.
3/2/2010 - Decided not to go to my Temple interview and cancelled. Waiting until the end of March to interview when I knew I almost certainly wasn\'t going to go would be a waste of time and money. Also withdrew from TCMC. Great school, but I\'d rather be in Philly as opposed to Scranton. I\'ve decided that it won\'t hurt to just wait out WVU and U of L. They\'ve made me wait this long and I\'m curious. Also, most likely won\'t get in to either.
The big decision has basically boiled down to Drexel and Jefferson. Both are great schools and relatively equal on most levels. Still think I\'m leaning towards Jefferson, excited to go for second look and take one last look around and make my decision.
