Summary of Experience:
This was my first rejection. I didn\'t actually get a chance to look at it because my fiance accidentally threw it away, and so I didn\'t realize that you could write a letter to petition for a second look at your application. If I were to do things over, I would definitely have taken the time to write a letter.
Summary of Experience:
Their secondary application was way too involved for me; at the time, I had already started fall semester classes, and I didn\'t want to write a super long essay about why I wanted to go here. I regret not completing the application, but doubt I would have decided to attend here in the end.
Summary of Experience:
I was very disappointed when I received this rejection. For a number of reasons, UCLA had been my top choice from the beginning, and I thought that I would at least get a chance to interview here. In retrospect, I\'m not sure I would have decided to matriculate here, especially due to the recent budget crisis in CA.
Summary of Experience:
I was really disappointed with my interview experience at Columbia. I flew all the way out to NY for only about 4 hours of actual face time with the school. The neighborhood wasn\'t the greatest, and the school is located quite far from the hustle & bustle of downtown Manhattan. Overall, I wasn\'t impressed with the school or the area; when I received my waitlist, I already had a couple of acceptances and so I withdrew.
Summary of Experience:
My interview was delayed by a month due to one of the giant blizzards that hit Baltimore in February. So, I had to wait until way late in the game to hear back; I\'m not sure if that made a difference for the ultimate outcome or not. When I received the waitlist letter I already had acceptances at two other really great schools, so I withdrew.
Summary of Experience:
WashU was my first acceptance. The second visit weekend was AMAZING - I met a ton of really great people and was mesmerized by the Central West End.
Summary of Experience:
I was super excited when I got my acceptance at Penn - I really enjoyed my interview day there. The second visit weekend left my fiancé and I a bit confused - we really liked the school and the curriculum, but as a Midwesterner I didn\'t really connect with a lot of the students, who were mainly Ivies. Penn also offered me less money than WashU did.
Summary of Experience:
Although I was offered a scholarship from my alma mater, my fiancé and I ultimately decided that we wanted to move out of Minnesota. The school is currently facing a lot of budget problems and are having to make cuts as a result. Also, the facilities really didn\'t compare to WashU or Penn.
