Quick Bio:
My Freshman year I had no clue what I wanted to do and consequently did very poorly in some pretty key classes for my BCPM GPA. It was just before my Sophomore year that I felt medicine would be most appropriate for me and decided that pulling my grades up would be the key to even having a prayer of acceptance. So, I\'ve managed to pull my GPA up from a 3.14 to a 3.58 (which AMCAS interpreted all those grades as a cumulative 3.56) over the last three years. I have no other physicians in my family whatsoever, so I have had to ask friends and advisors consistently for help in knowing how best to approach all of this and how to determine that medicine is definitely for me. How much I have to work on a regular basis has limited my ability for extracurriculars that I would like to do.
