Summary of Application Experience
6/26/09 - It\'s official, I am a medical school applicant. I\'m kinda scared of what\'s to come, but I\'m hoping it will all work out for the best. I haven\'t taken my MCATs yet, I\'m studying for them now and will be taking them on July 31st, so there probably won\'t be too many updates for awhile. Right now, I\'m just trying to get everything in as early as I can so that the only thing that my schools are waiting for is my MCAT scores. So let\'s do this!
12/16/2009 - so I guess I have come a long way since my first post in June. MCATs have been taken, secondaries are complete and now I\'m just playing the waiting game. I\'m so blessed to have come this far. I thought i was lucky to get my first interview and right now I have six!!! I am in no way ungrateful, but I still would like to hear from the schools I have left. I like to have choices in situations like this. I am anticipating decisions to come after the holiday so lets hope for some good news. RIght now, GW is number 1. I would be sooooo happy to go there. Money of course is an issue but I\'m trying not to worry too much about. EVMS is a close second, I am just in love with the location. I will try to be more on top of this thing and keep everyone posted! :)
2/1/10 - happy new year everyone! currently still playing the waiting game. I\'ve been put on a lot of waiting lists...hopefully i get some good news soon. i have one more interview at vcu in a couple of weeks, so i hope something good comes out of it!
6/23/10 - this time a year ago i was starting out this process. i never imagined, i\'d be at this point. counting down the days till my first day of medical school. it took a lot of waiting to get to this point. all of sad days, wondering if i was ever going to get accepted, wondering if something good was going to happen. my best friend, jamie, told me to be patient, despite how much i suck at it. but my good thing came and i am soooooo excited to start at GW. it\'s gonna be a hard journey, but i can\'t wait hit the ground running!
Summary of Experience:
The secondary was just too daunting...they asked to select a hospital that I would like to do my third year rotation. I\'m not from the area so finding information about the different hospitals was difficult. Figured that was I sign I shouldn\'t apply here...
Summary of Experience:
I did a summer program here and I have really enjoyed the school since then. The state of New Jersey isn\\\'t really my cup of tea, but the school is great. Interview was a bit more difficult than my first one, asked me alot of questions about how I\\\'m going to pay for medical school and what not. But I think he was just trying to see if I could hold my ground.
LOVE LOVE LOVE GW! Great school and great location. The amount it costs to go there is blowing my mind right now but I\'m hoping I\'ll figure something out. I would love to go here!
not really a waitlist...i was rejected and now being considered for a 5 year decelerated program, it was self esteem downer at first, but i still do love gw...
FINALLY ACCEPTED! gosh, the day it happened was an awful one too. i was all sorts depressed about not having heard anything yet and then i got the email. i\'m so blessed. and even though it\'s five years, i\'m going to make it work. it\'s gonna be a good ride and i can\'t wait!
