Summary of Application Experience
It was a pretty stressful process. I wrote my MCAT just last mid-September. Hence, I applied really late! Thankfully, I managed to still get three interviews and two acceptances at the end.
I liked all three schools that interviewed me (GW, Wayne, and EVMS). Out of the three, my first choice is probably GW. But they waitlisted me. And it looks like I may not get off their alternate list.
I am pretty sure that I'll be attending Wayne State. I liked EVMS (the strong clinical focus, the camaraderie, the student social life, and the weather). And it is about $30-40k cheaper altogether. But despite all that, I just can't see myself in Norfolk for four years. Wayne State is just as strong clinically. They have a more diverse class. And it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive from home. I just feel like WSU works better for me.
