Any comments, especially on schools to apply to, are greatly appreciated. If I have listed a school which is not OOS friendly let me know too please.

    Research:
1 1/2 years in a biochem lab studying Amyloid-Beta, the protein believed to trigger Alzheimer\'s. I prepared samples of AB and imaged them using Atomic Force Microscopy. Also worked with fluorescence and dynamic light scattering to monitor aggregation. Presented posters at my uni\'s undergrad research symp., as well as at the local chapter of Amer. Chem. Society\'s undergrad research symp.

    Shadowing:
    ER doc (24 Hours)
    GI doc (16 hours)
    Private practice doc (12 hours)
    Cardiologist (12 hours)

    Volounteering:
50 hours in an emergency room.

I have volounteered for the past 6 years for an organization that helps new refugees learn about and acquire social services i.e. get driver\'s licenses, enroll their kids in school etc.

    Teaching:
I TAed 1 semester of chem II teaching a workshop section. I basically did problems on the board and helped any students with problems.

I was a SI for an organic II class

    Leadership:
I was one of the founding members of my uni\'s AMSA chapter and was also the vice president.

I do have a few semesters of all Ws (2-3 classes/semester) on my transcript, and one D, and a few Cs. I have a reason for the Ws, and the D, my father\'s health deteriorated rapidly around that time and has led to him receiving an organ transplant recently. I have a strong upward trend though, with a 3.9 for my last 2 years and A\'s in all the prereqs, except 1 C in Chem I.
