Summary of Application Experience
The entire process of going to medical school was the longest and the most stressful journey of my life. From freshman year in college and onwards taking all the required courses to volunteering, research, and other extracurricular activities, it was exhausting. I remember choosing to stay home so I could spend that extra time studying, the constant pressure to get good grades, and the competition. Then there was the MCAT preparation and taking the exam, one of the most stressful times of my life.
Of course, that was just the beginning. I never realized how long-winded and complicated the actual process of applying to medical schools was. From getting LORs, the AMCAS, secondary applications, making sure all the right forms and things were turned in, waiting endlessly for interviews, then flying all over the country to interviews while attending school, etc it was all just so difficult. And of course, the incredible expense of the entire application process was nothing to scoff at.
Then waiting for decisions, the disappointments when waitlists and rejections came in, and finally the feeling of immense relief and euphoria when I finally got my first acceptance. It has been a long and difficult journey; I never knew it would be this hard to get into a U.S. medical school. But at the end, it was all worth it. I am going to be a doctor.
Summary of Experience:
I thought the interviews went well. I really love this school. They treat you really well throughout the day. The medical center is just huge. Overall, I was impressed.
Summary of Experience:
SLU is a good place. The school was nice, good facilities, and friendly students. I love the Pass/Fail grading system, and they really looked like they want students to learn and have meaningful times. We\'ll see how much they like me.
