Summary of Application Experience
Tried getting my application in as early as possible. I could have been complete in early July, but my PI decided to take a vacation and didn't write me a rec letter until he got back. Nevertheless, I had 4 interview invites early on (September), and haven't heard from another school since then.
I am overjoyed with my acceptance to NYMC, it relieves so much pressure. At the same time, it shows how weird this process is. I had (what I thought was) my worst interview at NYMC. I was expecting to be completely ignored by this school. Nevertheless, I now have an acceptance, and am still dumbfounded.
I am also surprised that the only state school I have heard from is Wright State.
To any future premeds: apply to a wide array of schools. This process is very random, you never know what school might give you a look.
6/2/09 Got an acceptance from Toledo today, will most likely be attending. 6/4/09 VCU acceptance
