Brief Profile:
My GPA will take a small hit from some old grades. Luckily I only had a handful of credits from back then (they were terrible) so not too much harm will be done.
I really have just done the typical stuff. Shadowed numerous docs in various specialties. Volunteered at a hospital for countless hours. Nothing too extraordinary really.
I've only taken two AAMC practice MCAT's. The first was a 10-10-11, and the second was a 10-11-11. I used the higher of the two as a filler in this profile until I take the real one. Since I'm only going to be applying to DO schools I'm hopeful that with some work I'll be able to get close to those scores (which I hope will be competitive) on the real MCAT, or possibly a little higher since I've not really 'buckled' down to study for it yet.
I will update this as things progress over the next year!
Update: 3-30-09 Well, I took what I'm hoping will be my last AAMC practice test. I got a 12-12-12 on it. Now if I can only do that on the real one I think I'll be happy! *crosses fingers*

Summary of Application Experience
Not much so far. I've been through the entire process while helping my wife. So, although I didn't do everything 'hands-on', I know what to expect. I've gotten three LOR's from some of the DO's I've shadowed. And the chairs of the chemistry and biology departments at my school are currently writing me letters. So, it will be nice to have those out of the way and at Interfolio for when they are needed.
