Summary of Application Experience
My verbal score on the MCAT really set me back. I wish I would have performed better on that because it was a source of great concern for many months. However, I ended up getting into the program I was shooting for, so I guess it didn't end up being relevant.
On the first AAMC MCAT practice exam (3R), I scored an 11 in verbal...and pretty much neglected the section until I took the MCAT. Make sure you don't do the same...no matter how proficient a reader you are! Being comfortable with mcat-type questions/passages takes practice.
User #1527 took the old MCAT and scored a 24 which is in the 43th percentile of all old scores.
We converted this to a 498 on the updated scale which is in the 43th percentile of the updated MCAT. We also converted User #1527’s section scores as follows:
