Have been a volunteer back home in Nebraska throughout my high school years and have been volunteering here in Lawrence for about a year now. shadowed two doctors: an orthopedic surgeon and a family physician. I worked in a medical clinic for a summer going into my junior year as a student assistant. I have been doing research at KU on a USDA granted project since March. Fraternity philanthropy events, and was recruitment chairman for a year.

Summary of Application Experience
I decided to do the early decision program due to my sub-par MCAT and GPA. I thought I had pretty good experiences going in and my interview went smoothly but it seemed they were questioning me a lot about why I went to KU? I just received a letter on the 28th of September that I was deferred from the EDP and moved to the regular program. My biggest concern is where to apply now and if I even have a chance getting into UNMC if I didn't make it already..
