Summary of Application Experience
Reapplicant from the 2008 cycle. Applied to 15 schools last year, interviewed at UA only, waitlisted at Tucson, no acceptances. The feedback I received from schools was that I had an overall great application, just needed to improve my MCAT score to make me more competitive.
I am feeling very confident this year--improved my MCAT by 4 points (26 to 30), still have a great GPA, very strong clinical and research experiences, and great LORs. My interviews at UA Phoenix and Tucson both went exceptionally well---I think it may be my year!
Getting a little worried that I haven't heard from more schools re: interviews. But I am enjoying a fun, non-hectic schedule for the first time in a long time and am cherishing every moment spent with my husband as we settle into newlywed life.
**UPDATE 1/23/09** I am accepted at UA-Tucson!!! Couldn't be any happier!! **UPDATE 2/9/09** I am accepted at UA-Phoenix!! Yahoo! Now it's decision time...
**UPDATE 2/23/09** It's official! I have decided to attend the Tucson Campus! Medical school here I come.... :)
