    Summary of Application Experience

8/4/08- sent primary app. to ACCOMAS, amd AMCAS, take MCAT Sept. 13

    8/25/08- AMCAS verificatied

9/13/08- MCAT (some hard parts, some easy parts, all I can do is pray), AACOMAS verified.

10/14/08- MCAT score 20N (disappointed but expected, pre-reqs not completed), maybe some love from some schools... any comments welcome!!!

10/28/08- So last week I received an interview invite from LMU-DCOM!!!! It's on Nov 4, I can't wait... I did not think I was going to get any notice this cycle, so I am already pumped from this one interview. It would be awesome to be accepted because then I would not have to take the MCAT again.
Also went to see DCOM, and I was extremely impressed, even though the town was small. This school has quickly become one of my top choices. Hoping to get some love from WVSOM, and VCOM after talking with their admissions coordinator.
Everyone keeps saying my file looks great except my MCAT, which is awesome because I feel like everyone in the world is more competitive than me.... We will see though.

11/13/08 Got interview invite from VCOM on 12/16. Also interview at GA-PCOM almost 100% sure I will be waitlisted here and LMU-DCOM but maybe not, I will find out in a few days... (the interviews went well, but the MCAT is my biggest flaw and hold up for adcoms, other than that everyone says they are really impressed)

11-23-08 So I received my acceptance from LMU-DCOM like a week after actually being accepted thanks to them sending it to my address in GA. This will probably be where I matriculate, this school is amazing but I am still going to the VCOM interview to see what they have to offer... They will have to knock my socks off!!!!

Oh yea and just to show that MCAT does not mean everything!!!

12-11-08 I had my interview at VCOM on 12-9-08 and it was amazing. I was notified today that I was accepted, so this is where I will be going. Another story of how people can have a low MCAT and still be successful with hard work and dedication. Looking back all the sacrifices have been worth it. My advice to anyone reading this is to get it in your head what you want, and do it. That my sound obvious but I assure you it is rarely done.

VCOM really focuses on the person as whole, there are people with better stats then me who were rejected or didn't even get an interview. Try to be as well rounded as possible and enjoy life. God had a plan for me all along and it is just amazing to see things come together...
