Summary of Application Experience
6/5/08 - Submitted primary application for both M.D. and D.O. application on June 5th 6/25/08 - Beginning to receive secondaries now...trying to hold them for no longer than 7 days (we'll see how this goes) 1/21/09 - Updated everything for the first time since the beginning of this long process. I've been accepted to PCOM, but I'm waiting on VCU. If I were to be accepted at VCU, I don't know what I'd do... 4/8/09 - Updated everything again for the first time in awhile. Still only accepted at PCOM. Waiting on Jefferson, Penn State, Eastern Virginia, and VCU. I'm happy with PCOM though, so it's a non-stressful wait :) 5/22/09 - ACCEPTED AT PENN STATE! It's hard to describe how exciting it was to receive the acceptance phone call and talk with the dean. I would have been happy at PCOM, but PSU was always my #1 :)
To anyone that may read this, I have only one piece of advice: always remember that the medical school application process is a long, but worthwhile one.
