This is my 3rd time applying.
I mistakenly applied during my senior in college with a horrendous MCAT score and limited clinical exposure thinking that I would get it.
During my second run, I applied while I was at a PostBac at Georgetown where I succeeded in passing medical course: Embryo, Physio, Endo. However, I did not apply to enough schools and made careless errors with my application.
For my third try, I retook the MCAT and improved my scores. In addition, I have been speaking to a former student admissions committee member of Drexel. He has been useful and helpful with dissecting my application to full proof it. I am aiming to get in Fall 2009.
For the coming year, I will continue working as an EMT in the emergency department, volunteering with the Big Brothers, and tutoring in the 'No Child Left Behind' program.

8/20: AAMC Finally processed my application b/c they decided to ask for my transcript of the courses that I had taken in high school. SET me BACK A WHOLE MONTH!
8/21-9/5: Received all my secondaries
9/16: Received UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Secondary. 9/24: Handed it to the Admissions Office
9/25: Received Loyola Secondary. Caught me off guard. I hope that they reviewed my primary. If so, 2 pts for me, ha.
10/1: Received my 1st Interview: NYMC!!!
10/18: decided to apply to northwestern after receiving a letter stating that they will waive my secondary fee. i might as well invest $30 plus the LOR fees.
10/21: received Charles Drew UCLA secondary!
11/3: received my 2nd Interview: SUNY Upstate!!!
12/8: received my 3rd Interview: Meharry!!!
12/12: received my 4th interview: Arkansas!!!
12/17: received my 5th interview: Western D.O.!!! within in two weeks of submitting my application, i got an interview
01/08: received my 6th interview: Rosalind Franklin!!!
01/09-01/20: I will be traveling all over the country for my interviews and do some visiting in different cities: Manhattan and DC for R&R. What is awesome is that my birthday is on the 14th. What a great birthday present for me to have all these interviews and reason to travel ;-) and of course to get into medical school
01/10: UAMS interview: loved the people and the new and updated campus. as of now, my number 1 choice
01/12: SUNY Upstate Interview: did the host program and loved the people. nice campus and my number 2 choice
