Brief Profile:
..Trend in GPA shows upward trend my last 2.5 yrs in undergrad ..Postbac @ Georgetown & PASSED medical schools courses: Embryology, Biochem, Physiology, and Endocrinology (P/F system) ..Big Brothers of America Volunteer ..EMT in the ER ..Tutor in 'No Child Left Behind' program ..Various activities, awards, honors, Dean's List, etc in undergrad ..will get strong LoR from my physio professors, Georgetown Advisor, Big Brothers case manager, & Emergency DO
This is my 3rd time applying.
I mistakenly applied during my senior in college with a horrendous MCAT score and limited clinical exposure thinking that I would get it.
During my second run, I applied while I was at a PostBac at Georgetown where I succeeded in passing medical course: Embryo, Physio, Endo. However, I did not apply to enough schools and made careless errors with my application.
For my third try, I retook the MCAT and improved my scores. In addition, I have been speaking to a former student admissions committee member of Drexel. He has been useful and helpful with dissecting my application to full proof it. I am aiming to get in Fall 2009.
For the coming year, I will continue working as an EMT in the emergency department, volunteering with the Big Brothers, and tutoring in the 'No Child Left Behind' program.
