I gave myself 2/5 odds this year, 4/5 next year.
Sent my primary off early in June.
Mayo - Didn't expect anything. Had to apply as it is the best school in the region and was in MN.
U of MN Duluth - I was bummed and concerned at this point. I thought my secondary showed rural MN or American Indian interest, and my MCAT should have made me more competative. Starting to really worry about my application.
USD - Have the interview due to South Dakota roots. Went exceptionally well as the interviews and staff were very nice. I'm going to be an M.D.
Georgetown - Darn. I had been working at Georgetown for some time and one of my LORs was from Georgetown. That's not good at all, as it was one of the schools I had a real connection towards.
MC of Wisconsin - This was numbers. A proximal school, but I didn't have the math for a non-resident.
U of MN - Suck. Oddly, my 'rejection' schools have largely been those schools that I actually have some kind of connection to. Oh, well. While this would've been my first pick, it was a stretch for me.
U of Illinois - Meh.
George Washington - Oh, well. Would have been overpriced. It's just too bad that DC is largely out of the running (pending Howard) as I've liked the town and my partner has good business here.
U of Louisville - Applied because Dean visited our school. This rejection is okay, as I would've taken USD over this school.
VCU - Meh.
Howard - So much for Washington, DC, which is too bad.
Loyola - It looks like I will be one acceptance for one interview for twenty applications, and I am perfectly happy with that, as it is more than what 60% of applicants receive (or what I expected). I am not, however, happy with receiving a .pdf file rejection letter addressed to 'Applicant' attached to an email also addressed 'Applicant'.
