My decision to pursue medicine was a gradual process. I entered college as a 'pre-med,' but that changed when I finished my first year with a 3.0. I was confused so I looked at other avenues such as, athletic training, pharmacy, and pharmacology. After experiencing these fields, I realized that my heart was always set on medicine. I dedicated my last two years to pull my grades. I hope that the schools can look past my below-average GPA and look at my trend. In my last two years I averaged a 3.8. I know that it will be a dice roll to get into med school, but lets see how things go. I took my mcat in April, but I didn't do so well so I am retaking it in July.
