Summary of Application Experience
Took a Princeton Review course for the MCAT, which I highly recommend. Scored a 27 the first time. Then retook it four months later and scored a 31. Got my application into TMDSAS in mid August, which is too late in my mind. Three interviews: UTMB, UT-Houston, Baylor. Did not match on Feb 1st. Pulled out all of the stops and played the 'Its WHO you know' card. Waitlisted at all three schools. Talked to a Dean of Admissions at all three schools to discuss how to improve my standing and what to do if I do not get in. One week before I graduated I received a phone call from UTMB and was granted a spot in the 2008 entering class.
