4/28/08 Got a list of 25 Schools that I may apply to, but will narrow it down more. Want around 15-20 I think.
5/05/08 Well, I'm gonna apply to 25 schools! It'll be some extra work (and cash$$$), but I want in! I changed the list quite a bit, added some schools and removed some others. I'm going with 21 MD, and 4 DO. So this is the list.
5/31/08 Just finished both my applications for M.D. and D.O. I had to cut down my personal statement and change a few things for the D.O. application. Just gonna have them proof read, and then I'll be submitting them ASAP. Wish me luck!
6/6/08 Just submitted my AMCAS application, so it's in nice and early. Had my PS read over by friends, family and Pre-health advisor. Think it came out good! Just waiting for the transcripts to be verified, hope that happens soon. Still have to finish the osteopathic application... it is all done except the PS. I need to trim down my other to fit the character requirement.
6/12/08 Just submitted my AACOMAS applications. I'm done with the primaries!!!! Both AMCAS and ACOMAS have recieved one of my transcripts and I am waiting for them to recieve the other. Should be soon.
Getting a little nervous about applying, because the competition seems so tough... I hope I get in. :)
6/21/08 Both AMCAS and ACOMAS have had my transcripts for weeek now. Still waiting to be verified by AMCAS, and just waiting for secondaries to start rolling in.
7/1/08 My AMCAS application was verified today, and I have already recieved a few secondaries. Gonna get movn' on those and start sending them in, before I get a backlog....
7/30/08 July is almost done and I'm more than halfway done with my secondaries (15/25). I have 2 more I've gotten to complete (1MD/1DO), and the rest I havn't hurd from yet (5MD/3DO). But things are rolling along pretty smoothly, although I am getting sick of secondary essays.... oh well.
8/26/2008 Today I opened up the e-mail and woo wooo! 2 interviews! One at Tulane and the other at LECOM. Pretty stoked..! As far as secondaries go, I've got Loyola's 7 essay monster left, and then 2 more D.O. secondaries.
10/27/2008 Woo wooo! Gonna be a doctor... boo yahh! Got a DO acceptance today... now some of the pressure is off, I'll be going somewhere next year. Now let's just hope I get a choice! :)
