Brief Profile: I was a 4 year DI varsity athlete, so that took up most of my time (year-long season, but it paid off - we won the Ivy League and NCAA championships my senior year). I volunteered at an inpatient hospice during my senior year, which was a great experience. I also wrote for a couple undergrad publications here and there, but nothing regular. Summers I spent coaching (frosh summer), doing research (sophomore summer, it sucked) and studying for/taking the MCAT and physics classes.
Awards - some for athletics (internal to my school), and a departmental award for my senior thesis in Art History.
Now I'm working for an international NGO, doing policy-type work (with some HIV-related work on the side, i.e. writing national treatment guidelines). Most of what I do is broad though, geared towards rebuilding the health sector as a whole.
