Summary of Application Experience
Applied two years ago, interviewed at Drexel and Eastern Virginia, and was not successful.
11/14/07 Accepted to PCOM-Georgia. I couldn't ask for a better situation to learn to be a physician. I am ecstatic.
10/5/07 My mom has apparently sustained major brain trauma, as she gets the bright idea for me to apply to Cornell! She thinks she has connections there or something. She paid for my application fee through AMCAS to this school, and she will be paying the secondary fee too, if she wants me to submit it. I should probably even have her fill out the secondary application for me.
Typically, with major brain trauma like this, there will be swelling that leads to ischemia of the affected tissue. The local arteries will then dilate to increase the blood flow, and this causes more swelling. The ultimate result will be brain death. I have had 30 great years with my mother in my life. I am saddened that she will not be alive to see me become a doctor. Or maybe she is the world's only retarded person with two masters degrees.
Just kidding. I know she just wants the best for me. But if I can't justify why a place like Cornell should accept me, why should they?
