Summary of Application Experience
Got my AMCAS in hours after it went live and was verified in about 24 hours. Started getting unscreened secondaries the following week. 6/29 - 12 secondaries to work on 7/20 - Premed committee interview coming up on tue. Hopefully it won't take them too long to send out my letter. I've got 17 secondaries done and 8 almost done. 7/24/07 - Had Premed committee interview and it went very well. Interviewer/letter writer was a very nice retired MD. Had a great chat and I look forward to a solid letter. 8/7/07 26 secondaries down, 6 on my desk and 6 currently screening 8/22/07 Working on 2 secondaries and waiting to hear from 7 schools. My Pre-Med Committee letter should be released to Virtual Evals this week, so hopefully I'll get some interview movement next month 9/11/07 Pre-Med Packet released, but missing an important LOR! 10/15/07 All LORs sent and received by most schools 10/05/07 Interview Invitation from VCU MD/PhD- 1st one!!! 10/19/07 Interview Invitation from OHSU - MSTP 12/13/07 Acceptance from OHST MSTP! One of my top choices and my first acceptance! Best Christmas present ever!!! 12/19/07 Acceptance from VCU MD/PhD! Another top choice MD/PhD program! Santa came early, this year! Awesome! 2/15/08 UCSD ACCEPTANCE! My Favorite school, but not MSTP. Gotta decide whether I want the PhD or not. 2/25/08 Emory MSTP Interview 3/5/08 Emory Acceptance!
