Summary of Application Experience
6/19 MCAT scores--I was getting higher on verbal and physical before but I'm not complaining about that 12 :o) 6/30 Submitted AMCAS, working on AACOMAS 7/10 AACOMAS submitted 7/11 Requested BU to send LOE to schools (will be about a month till they write it and send it) 7/12 First secondary sent out (GW) Not even verified yet?? Crazyness 7/19 Verified FINALLY 7/24 My LOE's were sent out today... omg... (ps that was so quick of them!) 8/5 AACOMAS mailed... kinda late :-/ oh well, nothing I can do about that. Checking my email every 2 seconds for any news.... *fingers crossed* 8/12 I've been slightly slow on secondaries lately. I'm stepping it up a notch this weekend. 8/13 Finally finished a DO secondary. took me long enough! it'll be in the mail tomorrow 8/29 BU rejection. First post-secondary rejection. That kinda stung, especially being the alma mater and all. 9/18 I can't believe I got an interview at Dartmouth!!! omg... can't wait!!! still don't think I have a chance in hell of getting in though... gotta love in state :o) 9/25 2 Allopathic and 2 Osteopathic interviews, nice balance :o)
11/1 And it's official, I'm gonna be a doctor!!!!!!! :o) 12/9 It took me a while to decide between PCOM and UNECOM, but I think I finally decided to send my deposit to PCOM. Still waiting to hear from NYMC (probably my first choice of the schools I've interviewed at so far... keeping fingers crossed...) 2/8 I got waitlisted at Dartmouth?? I remember when I didn't even think I had a chance of interviewing there!!! I'm not sure though if its better to be at the bottom of an ivy class or the mid/top of a DO class... hmmmm
6/27 I've been accepted off the waitlist at VCU, though I am pretty sure I'm going to choose PCOM over VCU. Though I'm still glad to be accepted to an MD school, virginia is not for me. If only NYMC or Dartmouth would consider me now.........
