Summary of Application Experience
I didn't have very many non-research related ECs and I think in the end this really hurt me at the UCs which focus more on community health/primary care.
If I could go back and redo my cycle I would probably spend more time prewriting my secondaries and try not to be so nervous during interviews. Overall though, I'm very happy with where I'm going. Knowing I get to finally start medical school after all these years of being a premed is such a huge relief.

Haha what a rip off. I would recommend against applying unless you REALLY think you fit in here (their initial review is very non-holistic)...or you just want to waste a hundred bucks.
Summary of Experience:
My interviewer was really combative about how I didn't actually want to go there because I'm from CA. The tour wasn't that great, the students didn't seem that happy, and the location was meh. Decided to withdraw to avoid wasting anyone's time.
Summary of Experience:
After visiting I realized I definitely didn't belong somewhere like Iowa City - I guess California has spoiled me. Withdrew before an answer so I wouldn't waste anyone's time.
Summary of Experience:
First interview invite!!! I was definitely excited to interview here because I really wanted to stay in California, although after visiting the location and cost left much to be desired...
Summary of Experience:
My feelings here were very mixed. On the one hand I was very excited to get an interview at a UC and the faculty/students were some of the nicest I have ever seen. On the other hand I had already spent years at UCI and I wasn't sure I wanted to spend 4 more. In the end I got waitlisted so it ended up not being my decision to make.
