Brief Profile: Graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2007 with a degree in International Studies, and minors in Political Science and Photography. Following graduation, I immediately joined the Peace Corps and spent the next three years down in Panama, first with the Peace Corps (2007-2008) working as an Environmental Health volunteer. During this time I did a lot of community presentations on nutritional, sex-ed, basic public health, sanitation, and water purification. The following two years I lived with my fiance (now husband) while I taught English as a Second Language at the college level. I also volunteered with the Panamanian Ministry of Health quite a bit, doing things like promoting public health in urban communities.

Now that we\'re back in Chicago, I\'m starting what down the path toward what I always wanted to do, which is become a doctor. I took my biology class at Truman College, and now I\'m waiting to start Northwestern University\'s postbaccalaureate pre-medical program.
