I had no significant EC activities during freshman and sophomore year of college. My life basically involved studying and having fun with my friends. I started during the summer after sophomore year, and all of my activities were done in a period of about 14 months.

Roughly $5000 spent on application process between AMCAS, secondaries, suit, and travel. I received my first acceptance in April, at which point I was sitting on 6 waitlists. The stress involved with waiting this long was awful, but I pushed through it all by lifting weights and maintaining my social life. Don\'t let waitlists put your life on hold.

I interviewed here without having any letters of recommendation in yet. That probably didn\'t help when they make decisions the same day as interview.

They sent a 2nd waitlist letter about having to waitlist many qualified candidates, and encouraging me to stay on the active waitlist. I believe it was sent to everybody though.

Accepted on May 2nd. Top 1/3 waitlist! I loved the PBL style. I\'m worried they might have perceived me as too research oriented. Fingers are crossed for a good decision in March.

The facilities weren\'t as shiny and new as some other schools, but they are building a new simulation center and patient tower. The students were cool and I liked the general organization of the curriculum. There were plenty of clinical and research opportunities. I\'d be happy going here.
