    Summary of Application Experience

8/5 - I joined MDapps, and am already halfway through my secondaries. I'll update from here.

8/22 - Updating my progress. I just received the supplemental MSTP application for U of Washington. They sure do things weird haha... Currently complete at 6 schools, submitted 3 secondaries but not complete, working on 3 more secondaries, and waiting to hear from 2 more schools.

10/12 - Updating. Currently have 5 MSTP interviews and 1 MD-only so far. 2 rejections, and waiting to hear from 5 more programs. I decided to withdraw from Colorado after getting 5 interviews, just because I'm going broke and a $100 secondary fee is quite a lot... I'm not sure anymore that I would want to live in Denver anyway... Preparing for my first interview at Baylor next week, and I bought my interview suit!

10/20 - Baylor went amazingly. The Texas Medical Center is HUGE!! I was super impressed with the students, the facilities, and Houston itself. Definitely moving Baylor to the top of my list.

11/3 - Interviews at Northwestern and UT Southwestern went really well. UTSW is probably one of my top choices now. At UIC I got the impression they didn't think I wanted to be there, which I found kind of odd :(. I mean, I obviously applied to your school because I thought I might come there...

11/10 - Got a call from the director of UTSW today! I've been accepted!!!! I am SO SUPER EXCITED!!! W00T!!!

    11/11 - 2nd acceptance! Yay!! (UIC)

11/22 - Received a WashU interview invite and attended the Vanderbilt Interview. Was pleasantly surprised and liked it a lot.

11/24 - UW interview invite! Off to Seattle!

12/23 - Withdrawing from UIC. I'd rather go to Vandy or UTSW so far. Also adding my U Chicago interview and Vanderbilt acceptance which I somehow forgot to add back from 12/3 and 12/5

1/7 - Withdrawing from Northwestern. Why the heck is it showing up as rejected from UCSF TWICE?? I guess they really didn't want me :P.

1/10 - Rejected from Stanford :(. Oh well, I had a great interview at Wash U yesterday, so no worries (hopefully).

1/16 - U of C interview was great. If it was located anywhere but Chicago I would very seriously consider it. But it's just soooooo damn cold! I dunno, will think about it.

1/25 - Withdrew from UTSW. Will be attending Vanderbilt unless I get into WashU or really like UW.

2/8 - Interview weekend at UW was hands down the most enjoyable of any that I attended. Loved Seattle, great school, I just have to really decide if I can handle a place that's dreary and drizzly and overcast 2/3 of the year... :(. They let you know really quickly, should get a call today if I got in. Harvard just had their last interview day, so I guess that's a silent rejection. I don't expect to hear from Penn, but not 100% sure yet. I also think Baylor has handed out all of its candidate reviews already, but not completely sure on that yet either. So, it remains Vandy, with a possibility of Wash U or UW.

2/8 (continued) - Confirmed that U Penn has already given out all their interviews, so that's a rejection. Also checked my notes and it says that we would hear back about candidate review at Baylor in Dec or Jan. Since it's February, I'm going to assume a rejection there too.

2/10 - Got a call from Baylor MD, saying I've been accepted. I'm now very confused about my MSTP status, so I sent the MSTP department an email asking what's up. We'll see...

2/10 (continued) - Got invited back to candidate review at Baylor! Decisions, decisions...

2/13 - Decided I would rather go to Vandy than Baylor, withdrawing from Baylor. Was waitlisted at Wash U, but I'm told I have a quote 'reasonable' chance of getting accepted. I was really hoping to have made a decision by now, but I guess I will just proceed as though attending Vandy. I'll reevaluate and decide how long I want to hold out for Wash U after the Vandy revisit.

2/17 - Rejected from UW, withdrew from U Chicago. Down to TWO for sure!

5/14 - Withdrew from Wash U. VANDY HERE I COME!
