5/10/07 - Working on my AMCAS application - so time-consuming! Right now, I only plan on applying to the five schools listed.
6/12/07 - My AMCAS is finally submitted! Just waiting on my transcripts to get there and be processed....
6/26/07 - They finally got my third and final transcript...awaiting verification!
7/2/07 - YES! AMCAS is verified and has been sent to the schools! Time to start bugging my letter writers, I suppose...
7/3/07-7/8/07 - I received secondaries from UChicago, WashU (well, an invite to complete their free-access online secondary, anyway), and Case Western during this time period.
7/21/07 - Received secondary application packet from Indiana.
7/31/07 - Complete at WashU.
8/3/07 - Applications sent to Case and UChicago.
8/6/07 - Complete at UChicago.
8/7/07 - MY FIRST INTERVIEW INVITE, and it's at my top choice school - VANDERBILT!
8/8/07 - Emailed Case, as they still weren't showing that they'd received my letters sent electronically via Interfolio the evening of Friday the 3rd...Turns out, it was a computer glitch, and a (very prompt and helpful) woman in admissions fixed it for me. So I'm complete there now as well. Now I just have to work on filling out Indiana's forms...why can't they use letters of recommendation like everyone else? Sigh.
8/10/07 - Finished Vanderbilt secondary, scheduled interview for 8/20. I am SO EXCITED, but nervous at the same time...
8/15/07 - This waiting is killing me....Just finished sending my forms to IU, so should be complete there soon. Haven't heard a word from Case, UChicago, or WashU. I need to develop more patience. UPDATE: Got an email from Indiana today with information about my interview - set for 9/12.
8/21/07 - Vanderbilt was amazing! Loved the facilities, students, staff, faculty....everything was awesome! I think my interview went pretty well, but I'm not really sure.
8/22/07 - Got an interview invite from Pritzker! I am so excited! :)
8/26/07 - Case Western interview invite - on a Sunday!
8/27/07 - I wish I would have been able to interview at Case a little earlier...but my interview is set for 10/26. Could have done it about a week earlier, but that would have involved missing a lot of stuff at school, and I didn't want to hassle with that.
9/13/07 - My IU interview was yesterday. I had fun touring the campus and learning more about IU, but my interview was quite confrontational - I think it was a somewhat mild version of a 'stress interview'. It was like he was really nice one minute and really in my face the next minute...it was strange. So I'm not really sure how it went...
10/3/07 - Finally - an interview invite from WashU! Only 2 more weeks until Vanderbilt's first decisions go out...I am freaking out. This is worse than waiting for MCAT scores to come out....and I thought THAT was bad!
10/11/07 - Interviewed at University of Chicago. Awesome facilities, great neighborhood, friendly and laid-back students - really loved it! Three interviews back to back was a little stressful though. But the interviews themselves were all really friendly and laid-back.
10/16/07 - I GOT IN TO VANDERBILT! Ironically, the call came while I was in St. Louis for my WashU interview. Ecstatic doesn't even BEGIN to describe what I feel right now! :)
10/17/07 - Interviewed at WashU. Such a laid-back atmosphere, pass/fail grading in the first year, great camaraderie among the students, world-class facilities. My visit was really great, and I think my interviews (both of them) went pretty well! The interviews were super relaxed, which was nice.
11/8/07 - Found out today that I am a 'continued applicant' at UChicago. Oh well, I really want to go to Vanderbilt anyway...But it's still kind of disheartening. I thought my interview went really well. But I have heard that Pritzker is really picky about 'fit'. Oh well.
11/17/07 - Got my acceptance to WashU today via express mail! :) I think my heart is still set on Vanderbilt, but financial aid packages may tip the balance.
11/20/07 - IU acceptance came today!
12/22/07 - Full-tuition scholarship offer from IU.....but I'm still pretty set on Vanderbilt!
