I still send my stuff via email to a priest Siwiec (a very good friend of mine) who is in charge of the whole project.
    - We also did toy collection before Christmas each year and then we would dress as angels (priest Siwiec was a Santa of course) and visit the houses of the families who were economically disadvantaged and couldn??t afford the gifts for their children.
    - With the same priest we also did some work with troubled teens, drug addicts and orphans (basically organizing camp fire trips).

    Summary of Application Experience

I made this profile like megboo to keep myself motivated.
So far these are the schools I am planning on applying to. I am going all the way DO :) and truly hope to either get into DCOM, WVSOM or CCOM this year (fingers crossed).
I was always passionate about medicine and art/architecture. I wanted to be a doctor since I remember but during my freshman year in college I went thru a painful divorce which was disastrous to my GPA. I thought I had no shot getting into med school so that is how I ended up at IIT in the architecture program. Of course I only lasted 1 semester there LOL. I missed the thought of being a doctor and knew that no substitutes would make me happy, so I went back to medicine. I believe I can connect both of my passions and become a plastic/reconstructive surgeon.... but at the same time I love the idea of family practice (especially rural, cause I love mountains, horses and wild places like doctormom :D ) or sports medicine and possibility to use OMM on the daily basis (it fascinates me) so either way I will love what I do.
I changed my major to art history because I wanted to pick something that interests me rather that something that will look good on med school application.
My grades are not fantastic :( but I hope I will get some love this upcoming cycle.
It's official...the above GPA is what i ended up with after this semester. It was crazy taking 23 credit hrs but i managed to do really well :)

just checked my email...AZCOM secondary arrived as well:D

7/25/07-i received Nova and filled it out imediatly. WV also emailed me with my ID and pin (it would be awsome to get an interview so i am crossing my fingers). i also completed AZCOM and PCOM secs and will mail them in tomorow. And finally my DO wrote a LOR for me...i hopefully will be getting it in my interfolio by tomorow.

8/02/07-YEAAAY!!! I finally submitted all my LORs including DO one and i also sent out UNECOM and AZCOM apps. They should be getting my LORs today or tomorow since they were mailed out on 31st july via priority mail. So now the waiting begins....I am praying to God and crossing my fingers for interviews.

8/08/07- OMG!!!! I got an interview at WSCOM!!! My first interview and i am totally extatic!!! Interview is on 9/19 :-)
I know the school is expensive but from all I gathered it may really blow me away. I am feeling I may end up moving it to the tops of my list! And the #1 rural medicine thing is just so awsome...as is the area and their admissions stuff (so far they have been nothing but super friendly). I think I will feel very much at home there...will update after my visit so you all guys know ;-) Wish me luck

10/16/07 i was accepted to wvsom and absolutely loved the school...

11/09/07 things get more complicated as i just interviewed at DCOM...and it blew me away!!! if i get accepted it will be a very hard choice between wvsom and dcom

11/20/07 accepted to DCOM!!! and decided this is where i will go!
i cannot believe i will be a doctor :) aaaaaahhhh

miracles happen guys...just never give up and never listen to nay sayers...give it a shot, make sure your essays are amazing and that you have something to back up your stats (especially when they are so low as mine)
    best of luck!!!
