Brief Profile:
I don't know my BCPM GPA (I put down an estimate) because I went to CEGEP and got advanced standing for 1 year at McGill University (this is the system in Quebec). Here are some activities I did in CEGEP and University.
2002 -Followed a Doctor Shadowing program (Hospital Opportunity program for students) in various departments), 1 day/week for 10 weeks.
2003-2004 -Model U.N. Executive - went to several confereces in the U.S and Canada. -Peer Tutor in Biology & Chemistry -Worked as a Counsellor at a sleep-away camp in rural Quebec for disabled children with hearing impariments, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Autism etc... -Followed a summer volunteer program at the McGill University health program that integrated volunteering with some information sessions from people in the health field. Volunteered 16 hrs/week from June-September.
2005-2006 -Volunteered (and still do right now) at a community AIDS organization at a drop in resource center where I meet with HIV infected people on a weekly basis. Attended and volunteered for various events outside the center. -Worked in Clinical Epidemiology for a summer at the McGill University Health center analyzing medical records and determining whether or not doctors were following certain protocols. -Working as an MCAT teacher for Kaplan Inc.
Awards/Merit -Dean's Honor list for 2004-2005, 2005-2006 Academic years. -Top 5% of faculty 2004-2005, 2005-2006. -Received in-course scholarship for both years as well. -Received NSERC Grant for Summer 2006 to conduct research in Biochemical Virology on HIV Reverse Transcriptase.

Summary of Application Experience
Well, hopefully this process won't kill me as I know it has killed so many people. My goal is to get into at least two schools, one of them being McGill (hoorah for 3,000$ in tuition and the best city ever--Montreal!). My big worry is that as a Canadian resident I won't be very competitive with a so-so MCAT score in the U.S. We'll see I guess...
