Summary of Application Experience
Overall a pleasant enough process. I had great numbers but not oustanding research experience and am happy how things are coming in. Not really many stressful interviews and enjoyed traveling around and meeting faculty and other applicants. Got into Penn, my first choice, and Columbia, a very good dark horse. I have to figure out what to do about Yale, because the science there is so fantastic but their 2nd look is the same as Penn, my 1st choice. I guess it's a good problem to have. :-/
Update: Penn it is. The second look weekends confirmed my earlier notions about the schools and just made me sure Penn was where I wanted to be for the next 7 years. It just 'felt' right and I'd never override a feeling for anything else (especially since their med school is so friggin strong and Philly is beautiful and cheap, ha)
Feel free to PM if and of you all have any questions about the entire process.
