Summary of Application Experience
UMass was great about sticking to the deadlines for the Early Decision process. I was pretty anxious in case I didn't get in, because I would have to submit AMCAS relatively late in the cycle to other schools, and likely be bumped to late interviews at schools that were already filling the class.
Interview day was nerve-wracking but they tried to make it as friendly as possible. It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere throughout the day with a lot of emphasis on selling the school to us, even though we were bound to attend if accepted, which I thought was admirable.
User #7707 took the old MCAT and scored a 32 which is in the 88th percentile of all old scores.
We converted this to a 513 on the updated scale which is in the 89th percentile of the updated MCAT. We also converted User #7707’s section scores as follows:
User #7707 scored a 10 on the Biological Science section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 127 on the Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems.
User #7707 scored a 10 on the Physical Science section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 127 on the Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems.
User #7707 scored a 12 on the Verbal Reasoning section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 130 on the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills.
