As an MD/PhD applicant, I should have applied earlier. I spent an excessive amount of time fretting over my primary (AMCAS) essays. My below average GPA probably hurt my chances at most schools for MSTPs, but I'm satisfied in the end. I guess it comes down to this: one interview; one acceptance.
