Summary of Application Experience
Just got started, buckling down for a long year of waiting
Got my interview invite from Queens for April 3/05!
Received rejection from Ottawa - academics good but autobiographical sketch not good enough
Received rejection from Toronto. Rats, this was my top choice. Wish I'd spent more time on my essay
May 31/05 - waitlist letter from Queens
July 4/05 - the acceptance email! I'm going to med school!!
In retrospect, I didn't fare as well in the application process as I initially expected, and I blame myself for 1) applying to only 3 schools (stupid and cocky), 2) placing absolutely no importance on the essays, 3) underestimating the significance of extracurriculars
Don't make my mistakes! All's well that ends well, because my one interview = one acceptance but it still feels kind of crappy to get only one interview
