Summary of Application Experience
3/25/05: And with the Wash U waitlist, the cycle is complete for now. A very disappointing process, with the sole bright spot of Maryland and its lucre. I'll probably go there unless Penn or Wash U lets me in off the waitlist. I wasn't as thrilled about Columbia and I'm not sure Pitt or Mount Sinai would be worth the 180k difference it would be over 4 years.
3/8/05: After initially being elated at being accepted at UMaryland with a huge scholarship, I was beset by 3 waitlists and a rejection (the latter from my top choice school - Duke) in a row. Fingers crossed for my #2 and #3 schools (Penn and Harvard respectively) which I should hear from this week.
So far one interview and one bizarre presecondary rejection from UCSF (one of my top choices). My letter went out very late from my house though (9/24 or so), so hopefully that won't impact things too much.
